アイショウでは、佐藤正樹の初個展「小さな土地」を9月12日から10月11日まで開催いたします。
佐藤正樹は1980年岩手県生まれ、美術大学などでの教育を経ず独学で美術表現を追求し、現在は東京を拠点に制作を続けています。
過去から一貫して描かれている台形とも平行四辺形とも言い難い奇妙な四角形”ある形”は様々な方法を用いながら現在まで、20年を超えて描かれ続けています。それは誰のアイコンでもなく、特別な意味や価値が与えられていないシンプルな形であり、『無数の解釈を含んだ言葉の仮の姿として、この形を繰り返し用いている』と佐藤はいいます。
「小さな土地」と題された本展覧会では、ギャラリーの中心にインスタレーション型の作品を配置し、それを取り囲むように大型の油絵、シェイプドキャンバスや光源のある作品など、様々なスタイルの作品が同時に展開されます。
本展覧会に向けて佐藤は『どんなに貧しい土地でも、土地はいつでも可能性を含み、可能性というものはなくなるものではない』と話します。目の前に広がる”ある形”を通した様々な表現は鑑賞者のあらゆる知覚を覚醒させます。
時代や様式を超え、我々の創造の可能性を下支えに、人や事物の根源のあり方を喚起させる佐藤の特別な展覧会をこの機会にぜひご高覧ください。本展では、展覧会の作品とともに過去に制作してきた作品の一部もファイル形式でご覧いただけます。初日になります9月12日は作家を囲んでのオープニングレセプションを開催します。皆様お誘いの上ぜひご来廊ください。
AISHO Tokyo is honoured to present Japanese artist Masaki Sato's first solo exhibition "Small Land" from September 12 to October 11, 2025.
Born in 1980 in Iwate Prefecture, Masaki Sato is a self-taught artist who pursued his unique artistic expression without formal art school education. He currently continues his practice based in Tokyo.
For over 20 years, he has consistently depicted a peculiar quadrilateral shape that could neither be called a trapezoid nor a parallelogram, using various methods. This shape is not anyone's icon, nor does it carry any special meaning or value. Sato explains that he "repeatedly uses this shape as a temporary form of words containing countless interpretations."
In this exhibition titled "Small Land," an installation work is placed at the center of the gallery, surrounded by various styles of artwork including large oil paintings, shaped canvases, and pieces incorporating light sources.
Regarding this exhibition, Sato states, "No matter how poor the land may be, land always contains possibilities, and possibilities never cease to exist." The various expressions through these "certain shapes" spread before us awaken all of the viewer's perceptions.

AISHO東京很榮幸於 9月12日至10月11日為各位呈獻日本藝術家佐藤正樹的首個個展 ——「小小土地」。
佐藤正樹在1980年生於日本岩手縣，且從未接受過正規的美術學院教育，而是憑藉自學精神追求其獨特的藝術創作。現今定居於東京，並仍持續進行他的藝術實踐。
在過去二十多年來，佐藤始終專注於描繪一個獨特的四邊形 —— 這個形狀既不像梯形，也不像平行四邊形。他一直嘗試用各種不同的手法來呈現這個形狀。這並非某個特定符號，也不帶有任何特殊意義或價值。正如藝術家所說：「這個反覆出現的形狀，是文字的臨時形態，蘊含著無數種解讀的可能。」
在本次「小小土地」展覽中，畫廊中央將展出一件裝置作品，四周則環繞著他各式各樣的創作，包括大畫幅的油畫作品、異形畫布作品，以及融入燈光元素的作品等。
談到這次展覽，佐藤表示：「即便是最貧瘠的土地，也總是蘊含著無限可能，而這種可能性永遠不會枯竭。」他相信這些作品中反覆出現的「形狀」能喚醒觀眾各種層面的感知體驗。這是一場跨越時代與風格的特別展覽，展現了佐藤對人性本質的探索，以及對創作可能性的追尋。除了現場展出的作品，觀眾還可以在展場中瀏覽他過往創作的資料檔案。
